International Cyber Snipe League

The International Cyber Snipe League began as the idea of Lefty in early 2005 and he instantly had the support of the {UST}.

{UHS}Stumpy was soon on board and he brought the support of many people from {UHS}, including Razor, who now heads the ICSL Security Team. Then almost immediately the idea became a communal project and grew with the enthusiastic support of many people across the on-line sniping community. The work of electing the first ICSL Committee and then establishing a League Charter, Match rules and regulations, Security Team, Map Building Team, servers, mods, and websites was a monumental task that involved the hard work and diligence from players spanning the globe.

We all wanted to create a truly international league where people from any nation, team or clan could come together and compete in a spirit of comradeship and sportsmanship. Never had so many different Sniper teams and clans from so many nations been bought together and it was Lefty's vision and work that began this process.

With the backing of SingleShot’s Velocity Gaming Servers and the Mod expertise of Juice, the league was born. In the August 2005, the ICSL’s first season began, which involved over 140 different players, from over 25 nations. The ICSL requires a lot of work and has dedicated people working to make it all happen. It is our mission to use sniping mods to create a league where players can use their skill in international competitive team events. Yet, perhaps our most important purpose was to create a place to have fun; indeed, the idea was to heighten the intensity and excitement of the game we were already playing.

The ICSL Charter is a living document that represents the ideals and codes of conduct that define the League. Read our Charter and our Match Regulations and if you believe in the same values of sportsmanship and integrity, then form a team and join the ICSL, the only international democratic on-line sniping league in the world.
